Cold Weather Guidance for Outdoor Meeting

November’s here, and that means we’ll be spending time outside in more cold and potentially snowy weather.

In general, if the temperature and/or windchill is at or above 0 degrees, we will be hold our outdoor meetings. If below that temperature, we will look to reschedule for another day.

In the event of a postponement, we’ll post the notice on Facebook and will send an email out through Scoutbook.

Please be sure your Scout is wearing appropriate winter gear for the temperature:

  1. Scouts should be wearing a jacket and hat when the outside temperature/windchill is below 45 degrees.
  2. If the temperature is less than 30 degrees, gloves and hat, hooded jacket/earmuffs, and should be work at outside meetings
  3. Once snow starts to hit, we will need your child to have the whole winter gear outfit for outside. This is gloves, hats/hoods/earmuffs, snow boots, snow pants, jacket.
